If you are looking for peace, quiet and seclusion then Rhyd Gethin Barn might just be for you. A spacious, luxury barn conversion with two bedrooms in an idyllic rural setting. Beside the river Ceidiog surrounded by fields, forests and mountain views there is nothing here to disturb you other than the sounds of nature.
Above us is Cadair Berwyn, the highest mountain in Wales outside the National Parks and offering a stunning walk across the Berwyn National Nature Reserve to the longest single drop waterfall in England and Wales at Pistyll Rhaeadr.
We are the perfect base for both walkers and cyclists with footpaths and trails direct from the door, or, you can relax and listen to the birdsong and the river burbling past.
As dog owners ourselves we make sure that Dogs are very welcome at Rhyd Gethin Barn with a private, fenced, south facing garden and plenty of walks nearby. We know that if our four legged family member is happy and relaxed then we will be too.
Rhyd Gethin Barn can comfortably accommodate four people, both bedrooms have large zip and link beds which means we can easily adapt for two couples, four friends or Mum, Dad and the kids. Or, you could have a romantic break away with just the two of you.
In the village we are very lucky to have three amazing places to eat, the Village Pub, The Dudley Arms run by Mark and Julie, is dog friendly, serves excellent home-cooked meals, (check out the steak and kidney pie) and serves real ale. Next, you have a wonderful restaurant The Berwyn where your hosts Ivor and Debbie prepare and cook amazing meals in an intimate, relaxed and incredibly friendly atmosphere, check out their hundreds of reviews on Trip Advisor and make sure you save room for the puddings! And then we have Tyddn LLan, a michelin star restaurant, if you are looking for something special this might just be it. Or, if you fancy a take away you can get home made Thai food from the village shop.
